      • We can recommend and book the perfect studio for your project. We have relationships with dozens of great studios and know the one that will be perfect for your project.
      • We can also provide any “non-musical” arrangements for you such as hotel and restaurant reservations, catering, transportation, etc to make your stay a pleasant one.
      • We have remote recording capabilities, so you do not have to leave home to get the best musicians on your project.
  • We can book your project whether it is Union (AFM or AFTRA) or non-Union, whatever you require
  • We can process State Scoring rebates (25% rebates on scoring projects over $50K)

Alan Umstead

Founder, Concertmaster and Lead Contractor

A graduate of Indiana University, violinist Alan Umstead has been a full time recording musician for over 40 years and has personally taken part in the recording of over 20,000 songs, jingles and movie/videogame scores.  You can see some of Alan’s album credits here:  ALLMUSIC   

Prior to arriving in Nashville, Alan was a principal violinist in the Orquesta National de Venezuela, the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the Nashville Symphony.  After several years in the studio, Alan saw the opportunity to form a full-sized, world class orchestra that specialized in large scale film and video game work. This orchestra (Nashville Music Scoring) would go on to attract and feature great musicians from around the world and become one of the world’s top orchestras for the recording of film, TV and video game scores.

Sammy Sanfilippo

Asst Contractor and Head of Music Preparation Service

In 2001, Sammy moved to Nashville to continue his musical journey at Belmont University, playing bass, writing compositions, and arranging charts for the various vocal and instrumental groups on campus. He graduated with a Commercial Music degree with an emphasis in composing and arranging. After graduating, Sammy began working as a studio musician and freelance music engraver and copyist, eventually founding his own company, Engraver’s Mark Music which specializes in music preparation, copying and printing Since 2005, Sammy and his company, Engraver’s Mark Music have prepared thousands of orchestrations for composers like Bruce Broughton, Harry Gregson-Williams, Stephen Barton, Gordy Haab, Chris Lennertz, Terence Blanchard, Jim Lang, Heitor Pereira, Chanda Dancy-Morizawa, Gareth Coker, Don Davis, John Debney, John Paesano, Austin Wintory, Bear McCreary, Jeff Russo, Marco Beltrami, Edouard Brenneisen, Maclaine Diemer and many others. This vast experience helps Sammy provide each project with an array knowledge and expertise, from digital template design and implementation in Finale or Sibelius, score and part formatting and copying, and an entire print shop dedicated to music printing.
