A graduate of Indiana University, violinist Alan Umstead has been a full time recording musician for over 40 years and has personally taken part in the recording of over 20,000 songs, jingles and movie/videogame scores. You can see some of Alan’s album credits here: ALLMUSIC
Prior to arriving in Nashville, Alan was a principal violinist in the Orquesta National de Venezuela, the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the Nashville Symphony. After several years in the studio, Alan saw the opportunity to form a full-sized, world class orchestra that specialized in large scale film and video game work. This orchestra (Nashville Music Scoring) would go on to attract and feature great musicians from around the world and become one of the world’s top orchestras for the recording of film, TV and video game scores.
